Arts and Culture

Yeshiva University Museum, through Re-imagining Jewish Education through Art, trained educators and piloted an arts education program at Jewish day schools and other venues in the New York metro area. The program was based on Lincoln Center Institute for the Arts methodology that accentuated critical thinking and interpretation of works of art. Yeshiva University Museum subsequently received a Covenant Foundation Signature grant in 2012 to continue this work.

Ignition Grantee Reflections: Impacts and Learnings
“Where are we now, what did we accomplish, and what have we learned?”

“The project has increased the infusion of Lincoln Center Institute methodology and traditional text study into other aspects of Yeshiva University Museum’s program. It has also strengthened the Museum’s connection with schools and educators.”

—Gabriel Goldstein, Project Director
